November 28th saw the release of award winning acoustic outfit Tinderbox’s fifth album (and first live offering).

Live! At The Cottage’, produced by David Booth of Wet Feet Records, was recorded in front of a sell-out audience at Dove Cottage in Debenham, Suffolk on May 10th 2014.  The album comprises twelve original tracks from the band’s extensive repertoire, including previously un-released material.

‘Live At The Cottage’ features Monique Houraghan on lead vocals, Dan Tucker on guitar, ukulele and backing vocals and Bob Burke on guitar and backing vocals.  This has been the band’s standard ‘trio’ line-up in recent years.  This album captures beautifully a polished and passionate performance in an intimate ‘pin-drop’ atmosphere and stands as an honest record of how Tinderbox sound today.  Of ‘Leave Your Light On’, one of the brand new tracks on the album, producer David Booth Tweeted “…I had to take a break to fight off tears…just beautiful”.

A UK promotional tour is planned for April of 2015 and confirmed venues include The Stables, Buckinghamshire; The Forge, Central London; Great Bourton Village Hall, Oxfordshire; and Bournemouth Folk Club, Dorset with more to be announced.

Reviews so far have been excellent.  Maverick magazine’s recent 4.5/5 star review stated: “If Tinderbox are still under your radar it’s recommended you give this one a spin; it won’t disappoint”. Tim Carroll of Folkwords commented “Highly accomplished musicianship; reflected through twelve soul-searing trackswhilst FATEA’s Neil King wrote “Tinderbox are back…and back in style!”.

The album, which was produced in partnership with Wet Feet Records, is now available to buy through this website (glossy digifile CD package) or via download at iTunes and all major online stores. You can buy a CD copy HERE.
